Baby Quilt - The Dinosaur One

This one was so fun to make!  Kids always seem to love dinosaurs and this fabric was so amazing to work with.

The colors included browns, blues, and greens.  The print is gender neutral in design, which is always a plus. The backing features a brown chevron print and brown and blue solids. The binding is a light brown solid.

The top is quilted with light brown cotton thread using a straight line design, echoing the layout of the blocks. The traditional double-fold binding around the edges is machine stitched to the front and back for durability.

Baby Quilt - The Blue Diamond One

 I got stuck on the idea of an offset pattern, but didn't want anything with too much improvisation.  I think this design struck a good balance.  

The bright and cheery blues and whites can brighten up any room. The backing features a green and blue ivy print, and a blue and brown circle print.  The binding is blue and white checkered.  While the colors are gender neutral, the prints do have flowers in them.

 This is large enough for a crib quilt, but could also be used as a stroller quilt or play mat.

Baby Quilt - The Modern One

I had a charm square pack of these modern prints and just knew they needed something to make it pop!  The black background does just that!

The colors include blue, green, yellow, red, aqua, and orange.  The backing features a red print and a blue print. The binding is a red, white, and black design.

This size is easily managed by a mom with her hands full, to place on the ground for a play mat.  It also is  small enough to be used as a stroller quilt, or even for a toddler who wants to carry a blanket around.

Gray, Red and Turquoise Triangle Quilt

 I had a stack of various red and turquoise prints, so I decided to cut them up and set them in a traditional layout.  

The colors include gray and various reds and blues.  The backing features a red print, a blue print, and leftover triangle blocks. The binding is two blue solids.

Baby Quilt - The Hippo One

This was a great gender neutral print!  I couldn't resist making a baby quilt out of it.  Hippos don't seem to get the same attention as other animals for nurseries.  

 The colors include blue, yellow, gray, and white.  The print is gender neutral in design. The backing features a black print and a blue print. The edge binding is a light blue with varying blue polka dot design.  The top is quilted with gray, yellow, and blue cotton thread using a straight line design, echoing the diagonal layout of the blocks.
