Fish Quilt

 I was requested to make a fish quilt for a family member.  It seemed like an interesting challenge, so I said yes.  

I developed this block to be the fish.  The person doesn't really like blue, so I used this deep green to simulate the sea.  All the fish are different, most use up scraps.

This was a long-term, background project with lots of starts and stops.  I think it ended up taking about 8 years.  It was a king-size quilt, but I just had lots of time where I put it away and couldn't think about it for a while.

I'm super happy with how it turned out, and also happy that it's off my to-do list!
