Scrap Quilt

I have been sewing with scraps pretty much non-stop lately.  It's addicting.

I love this quilt. It's living with me, so it cheers up my grey sofa very nicely.

This block is from Sunday Morning Quilts, but I changed the color scheme to be monochromatic blocks, rather than all scrappy.  How does this barely make a dent in the scrap pile?
I quilted it with grey thread, in free form wavy lines.

I want to make more scrap quilts....

Courtney's Quilt

No fancy name for this quilt, just a bunch of pictures.  I made this one for the office manager at work for her wedding.  I followed the pattern from Modern Patchwork, I can't remember the name, and I'm too lazy to walk upstairs to look at the book...I think it's the first one....

I had some issues with this one, all those lines don't line up....but it's okay.   By the last slice, I figured out I was doing the order wrong, and it's still okay that they aren't perfect.  Only I can see it....

I quilted it in a radiating curve, from one corner....what a pain to get through the machine.  And the center puckered where I switched directions, but after washing....only I can see it.  :)

It's in her wedding colors, and she loves it. And I do too.  It will get used and loved, and that's all that matters.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern: From Modern Patchwork
Various greys and purples, all Robert Kaufman Kona Solids.
3 black and white prints from stash
Border: Robert Kaufman Kona Ash (why have I not used this color before?  Love!)
Bound: Robert Kaufman Kona Charcoal with a strip of navy (since she changed her dress color last minute from grey to blue.....)
