Blue Plaid Quilt

I love the look of a scrap quilt.  All the different fabrics make it almost like a treasure hunt.  This one uses a simple and traditional color palette - blue and white - to make it even more special.

Using two colors like this is a easy way to keep the scrappy crazy from getting out of hand.

Modern Floral Quilt

 I had this lovely floral print in my stash.  I pulled some colors from it, which made an unexpected palette.   I love how this one came together, especially since this isn't a group of colors I would have picked out, but they work so great together!

The colors include pinks, purples, grays, browns, greens, and blue. 

The top is quilted with a gray cotton thread using a straight line cross hatch design.  The binding is machine stitched to the front and back for durability.
