The Mouth Quilt - A study in creativity

One day my four-year-old brought home this drawing from school.  I thought it looked neat - and told them it looked like a quilt.

With a straight face, I was instantly corrected.

It's not a quilt.  Those are mouths trying to eat you.

Of course they are.

I decided that regardless of this slightly horrifying exchange, this was going to be a quilt.  So I took the original drawing, and turned it into this.

With the slightly haunted back story, and the simple color scheme, it seems like it would be a good quilt for a teenager (or adult) who's into that sort of thing.  Although, it would work well with black, white, or gray décor too!  This quilt is for sale in my Etsy shop HERE.

Flying Geese Ombre Baby Quilt

I needed a quick, geometric design for a mindless sewing project.  Flying Geese blocks to the rescue!

After drawing up the color scheme, I looked in my fabric stash and found these Ombre Confetti fabrics.  I thought it would be perfect for adding some interest, while still keeping the design simple.

The good part of using the same fabric throughout was being able to make the geese with the 4-at-a-time-method.  This quilt is for sale in my Etsy shop HERE.
